Farmhouse Fried Chicken is a modern interpretation of rustic tradition, from the same team behind Upper Montclair’s longtime favorite, Dan & Day’s Burger Eatery. This new venture reimagines the traditional farmhouse aesthetic through a modern lens. The goal was to create a space that feels warm, grounded, and familiar, while still elevated and contemporary.
Natural materials anchor the design, with concrete-esk floors, exposed brick, and organic earthy tones layered throughout the space. A standout feature of the restaurant is the raw-edge bar counter, crafted from an iconic 250-year-old local Montclair Olmsted tree, which brings an element that nods directly to its local roots. From intimate banquette seating to open dining areas, the layout balances comfort and functionality, inviting guests to experience both ease and intention in every corner of the space.
